New things to work--week of 3/19/2012

Monday was not a good hair day. I already knew it was going to be covered. My options were either to wrap my hair, over accessorize my hair or hat my hair. I opted for the knit black hat and continued with a neo-soul/boho look by incorporating peacock feathers throughout. Peacock feather earrings, t-shirt and lapel pin, which I actually clipped to my hat so its not so blah up top. I wore grey pants and a cardi--staples of the business casual look--so I don't look too dressed down.

Teal Thursday

Color blocking and pattern mixing a big trends now. Funny thing is, that was something I've been doing since youth; but we called it mixed matching and I got teased for it.
The teal jacket, black pumps and striped blouse are courtesy of the thrift store. The skirt is from JC Penney (on sale of course). The whole outfit probably costs less than this beautiful teal and green chunky necklace (also trending) which I just recently bought from Sears during their 6-9pm sale this Sunday.

Cute on Casual Friday

So I bought these new hot pink peep toes to give my wardrobe some light. Neon is in this season and I am pleased. I was determined to incorporate these heels into my work wardrobe and I think I did successfully. I'm wearing a botton-down tank from Old Navy, on sale for $15 and one of my favorite striped long cardigans courtesy of Ross. This amazing necklace is from Sears during their night sale last weekend.
