When you figure out what you want to do with your life, its a magical moment. I have decided not to settle and to my own boss. I have decided to engage in something that is both rewarding and lucrative. Now all I need is capital. Big dreams don't come easily, but it feels great when you have a handle on this.

Now what does that have to do with this image? Well this is how I see myself...elegant, unique, classy and successful. In order for me to get there, I need to "see" myself as such. This image is my inspiration and my future.

 My favorite restaurant/lounge celebrated 10 years of good business...black-owned business to boot.
It was supposed to be a white party; but you know me, not being the one to conform, I wore this pastel strapless and skirt with this newly thrifted necklace I love.

I also wore it because its one of the shortest things I own and I expected my friend of new to see me in it...he didn't show. No waste, everyone else thoroughly enjoyed my hind quarters.

What do we think about my business card?  Good afternoon all, I would like to introduce you to the amazing new face of TF--Ms. Hazel Scott (deceased). She was a singer, actress and an amazing jazz pianist in the 1930s and 1940s who received a scholarship to Juliard at the age of eight. She was like the Nina Simone or Alicia Keys of her day--world renowned, talented, fierce and classy--gracing the covers of Jet, Ebony and LIFE magazines. Ms. Scott was the first black female to have her own TV show, and was also married to legendary politician Adam Clayton Powell. In short...she's a beautiful beast and I feel honored to have her likeness reflected on my new business card. New Years Eve/ning Out 2011

  My Day started out less than fab as I was forced to run errands for a new years party. What can I say...I make some mean deviled eggs...and the people need me! lol I'm wearing a thrifted plaid button-down, old Kmart jeans, gifted cotton jacket, a leather belt from my stay in China and a hat I crocheted. The necklace that I am holding is actually the chain to a purse that didn't live to see 2012 with an old clip-on earring that lost its twin. Besides family time and drinking champagne, I didn't do anything spectacular. I went on a date with myself to watch the fireworks then treated myself to an amazing view of the sunrise over the harbor. Its been getting cooler and I knew I would be bar-hopping so I paired this turtleneck (yes I said turtleneck) with these stretchy pants. I put a silk hankercheif in the jacket pocket for pop and additional color.

Ravens Playoffs This was one of the best weeks I have ever had. I was smiling all week long. Heres a look at why. My Ravens are going to the Superbowl (aka the Bro-Bowl aka the Har-Bowl)! My friends and family are thriving in 2013! My president is B(L)ack!         Me, my Bro Darkness, Daddy Glover     My Dad.......nuff said       Balti-mazing, Mary-lady   It was so cold I had to break out the Under Armour and my University of Maryland letter-winners jacket. Thats right yall, don't let the fashion fool you, I was a beast and I worked hard in trainers before I got to strut in heels!     The Man of the Hour: #52, Ray Lewis taking a lap around the stadium for the last time as a Raven player.     Birthdays   Birthday happy hour at my fav place :)     My cousin looking amazing in her optical illusion/jail stripe/zebra print dress :) That dress is hitting and fitting on so many levels...go cous!
